Dr. Yibo Xu 胥一波博士

Dr. Yibo Xu is a practitioner of the "Vertical Forest" and "Forest City" concepts in Asia and a registered first-class architect in China. He currently serves as the Partner and General Manager of Stefano Boeri Architetti (SBA) China, as well as the General Coordinator for the China region of the Milan Triennale and a visiting lecturer at the China Academy of Art.
With decades of experience in green design practices in both Europe and Asia, Dr. Xu has held positions at Zino Zucchi Associati (ZZA) in Milan and the Office for Metropolitan Architecture (OMA) in Rotterdam. Since 2010, he has been responsible for SBA's Vertical Forest project in Milan and co-founded SBA China in 2014, overseeing projects in China and Southeast Asia.
As an advocate and practitioner, he introduced the concept of the Milan Vertical Forest to Asia and has been involved in the construction of projects such as the Nanjing Vertical Forest, Huanggang Vertical Forest Urban Complex, Bailian Group Fashion Center Yanqingli, and Shenzhen Rehabilitation Center. Furthermore, he led the comprehensive planning and design project for the Ramagramma Stupa in Nepal.
