The Wei Linlang series is an exploration of the potential of combining modern industrial materials with traditional handicrafts. After gaining sufficient understanding of the traditional handicraft of cloisonné enamel, the designer discovered its unique characteristics of "using copper as the base, creating patterns with thousands of thin wires, and adorning with colorful glazes." Based on these principles, numerous experiments were conducted on various combinations of modern industrial copper materials and cloisonné enamels. Ultimately, the porous structure of foam copper was identified as an ideal industrial copper material that could achieve the effect of "creating patterns with thousands of thin wires" without the need for complicated manual processes.Incorporating foam copper with cloisonné enamel, the Wei Linlang series was designed, aiming to provide modern design with new material options. The entire Wei Linlang series was crafted by hand, using foam copper as the base. The enamel glazes were filled into the porous structure, and taking advantage of the "soft" nature of foam copper, it was used as a canvas, with copper wires as threads, to stitch and enclose the enamel into various shapes. Different copper components were added to provide the series with diverse functionalities.
