Dr Raymond Yau is General Manager of Technical Services & Sustainable Development at Swire Properties. He led the formulation of the company’s SD2030 strategy and established 1.5oC-aligned Science-Based Targets. These strategies and ambition pave way for the company in advancing towards a net zero future. To achieve the targets, he spearheaded implementing energy reduction strategies through Retro-Commissioning, Digital Transformation, and tenant engagement programs. He partnered with HKUST and Tsinghua University in understanding embodied carbon emissions for new developments in Hong Kong and Chinese Mainland. He also commissioned climate risk assessment to understand both transition and physical risks of company assets. And to support the transition towards a net zero future he helped to establish the company’s ESG Green Finance Framework.
